Since opening its lifts to mountain biking 32 years ago, Mount Snow has been putting smiles on dirt-covered faces every summer. Rather than a constructed bike park, Magic’s trails will not be lift served once they are finished and will be in balance with the natural flow of its mountain glades. Magic is working with the Windham Country Trail Alliance on mountain bike access trails to Magic which will offer plenty of challenge. Whether you’re looking to build skills or send the big jump line, the Killington Bike Park is the place to be. Bike Park Season Passes mean unlimited access to Killington’s trail network spread across three unique mountain areas. Three high-speed lifts carry riders and bikes to the top of the mountain for gravity-fed, adrenaline-pumping descents down nearly 3,000 vertical feet. With over 30 miles of rugged single track, rock gardens, switchbacks and machine-built berms, hips and jumps, the Killington Bike Park is a great place to shred the brown pow this summer. Killington Bike Park is the largest downhill mountain biking park in Eastern North America. Outdoor Center visitors will find fun trails, top rated food and convenient lodging in one of New England’s most beautiful settings. In the summer, The Center hosts mountain bike races on Tuesday nights, a weekly Bike Club program for kids and The VT3, New England’s premier mountain bike stage race. Riders can rent bikes, spend the night and enjoy delicious meals all on the Center’s beautiful lakeside campus. Machine built flow trails, old-school singletrack, a pump track and miles of dirt roads offer a complete fat tire experience. The Craftsbury Outdoor Center’s trails have something for riders of every ability. Lower on the mountain, you’ll find fun, flowing single track and machine-excavated flow and jump trails and new for this year is trail side lodging at the Burke Mountain Hotel.
A variety of terrain can be found at Burke Mountain including 3 downhill trails from the summit. Voted one of the top five best regional bike parks by riders throughout the Northeast, the gravity fed downhill park and trail system offers riding for all ability levels from beginner to expert. The downhill mountain biking located right in the Burke Mountain Bike Park isn’t too shabby either. If you’ve heard of Kingdom Trails, then you know they are some of the best anywhere in the country. There are close to a hundred miles of cross-country mountain biking trails all around Burke Mountain.
